Product Design Engineer – Mask Development

About the role

ResMed is seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop mask hardware from concept through production. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to create comfortable, high‑performance products that users wear nightly.

Key responsibilities

• Apply human‑centred design and Design Thinking to discover user needs and generate concepts.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models balancing fit, function, aesthetics and manufacturability.
• Perform tolerance analysis, risk assessment and DFMEA to support design decisions.
• Build, test and iterate prototypes, incorporating user and technical feedback.
• Create part specifications, drawings and technical documentation for suppliers and manufacturing.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience developing physical products through the full design and engineering process.
• Strong 3D CAD capability using tools such as Creo, SolidWorks or NX.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and design for manufacture.
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering or equivalent experience.
