Procurement Officer (VIE) – Tasmania

About the role

Join Bouygues Construction Australia as a Procurement Officer on the Antarctic Infrastructure Renewal project. Based in Tasmania, you will support procurement and contract activities to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of this high‑profile civil infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities

• Identify synergies between project needs and standardise requirements to optimise sourcing and leverage volume.
• Prepare and collate Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages.
• Maintain all procurement documentation to guarantee compliant processes.
• Develop detailed tender analyses and define negotiation strategies for decision‑making.
• Participate in technical and commercial discussions with shortlisted suppliers.
• Assist in negotiations to secure favourable commercial and contractual terms within budget.
• Provide recommendations to the production team and management based on analysis outcomes.
• Prepare, review and support finalisation of contracts with selected suppliers.
• Monitor contract execution status and track KPIs.
• Support local purchasing activities and engage suppliers throughout the procurement cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in the construction sector (excluding internships).
• Strong relationship‑building and analytical abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to recommend efficiency initiatives.
• Very good level of English (C1).
• Availability to start on 1 July 2026.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
