Procurement Category Manager – Sydney

About the role

You will create and implement sourcing strategies for multiple categories, collaborating with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks and lower costs for Amazon.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute robust regional procurement category strategies for indirect spend such as Marketing, Professional Services, HR, Security, and Facilities.
• Manage end‑to‑end RFP/tender processes across multiple APAC countries, including supplier onboarding, RFx initiation, evaluations, negotiations and selection.
• Track supplier performance using metrics for delivery, quality and cost, and lead business reviews to improve partnerships.
• Innovate procurement tools and processes, providing commercial advice and resolving supplier issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills in a matrixed environment.
• Analytical mindset with ability to synthesize data, assess risk and drive results.

Required skills

• Experience with category management, benchmarking, RFX, reverse auction and contracting.
• Negotiation expertise and knowledge of commercial agreement structures.
