Events Production Manager, APJ

About the role

Amazon is looking for a senior leader to head the APJ Event Production team, overseeing on‑site, virtual and studio events across Sydney, Singapore and Japan. You will own both people and operational responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality productions while managing budgets, vendors and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and grow a distributed team of engineers, producers and coordinators across three countries, handling performance, hiring and career development.
• Own the regional production budget, vendor relationships and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Plan and manage regional scheduling and capacity to meet competing event demands.
• Drive operational standards, continuous improvement and act as the escalation point for production issues.
• Travel across the region for events, people‑management and leadership meetings (≈20% of time).

Required profile

• 5+ years of people‑management experience, including leading large, multi‑location teams.
• Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
• Track record delivering innovative entertainment experiences to large audiences.
• Experience working with executive leadership in a complex enterprise environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of video production crews, live‑streaming technologies and studio workflows.
• Expertise in edit and post‑production techniques, production calendars and staffing.
• Strong capability in capacity forecasting, regional labour demand planning and new venue builds.
