Private Wealth - Global Product Strategy, VP / Principal

About the role

Blackstone Private Wealth (BXPW) packages and delivers Blackstone's alternative products to private banks, wealth management firms and family offices, and supports them with product, advisor support, education and training. The Global Product Strategy team designs flagship products that make alternatives more accessible to private wealth clients. This role leads product origination and development for the Australia wealth market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product origination and development for the Australia wealth market
• Identify market and product trends to inform product decisions
• Curate product priorities for client segments by analysing industry data, comparing BXPW products with peers and considering client feedback
• Evolve product offerings to stay relevant to clients and the market
• Take part in early-stage global product design and oversee products across asset classes
• Prioritise and execute new product ideas that leverage the firm's investment capabilities and meet client demand
• Develop product messaging, competitive research and growth ideas for senior management, governance, sales and investment teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant financial industry experience
• Familiarity with private markets products for the wealth channel, including Luxembourg SICAV, Australian unit trusts and ETFs, and their terms, portfolio and liquidity management mechanics
• In-depth knowledge of the Australian wealth management industry, client channels and regulatory environment
• Experience with Australian wealth management participants such as rating agencies, platforms and asset consultants / OCIOs
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and to manage senior stakeholders
