Private Home Visiting GP – Flexible Ad Hoc in Sydney

About the role

Doctorcall is expanding its private doctor service to Sydney and seeks experienced general practitioners to provide home, hotel and workplace visits on an ad‑hoc basis. This flexible role allows you to work around existing commitments while delivering high‑quality private GP care to local patients, international travellers and hotel guests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out home, hotel and workplace visits across Sydney.
• Assess and manage urgent but non‑life‑threatening presentations.
• Treat common GP conditions such as infections, rashes, minor injuries and fevers.
• Provide clinical advice, prescriptions, referrals and medical certificates as appropriate.
• Complete notes and documentation using Doctorcall’s clinical app (training provided).
• Maintain accurate clinical records and share outcomes through Doctorcall’s reporting process.
• Communicate professionally with Doctorcall’s operational team before and after visits.

Required profile

• Current medical registration in Australia with AHPRA.
• Experience in general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, after‑hours care or similar front‑line clinical work.
• Current professional indemnity insurance covering private practice.
• Right to work and practise medicine in Australia.
• Strong clinical judgement and confidence working outside a clinic setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, reassuring manner.
• Own car, valid driver’s licence and ability to travel across Sydney.

Required skills

• Use of a clinical app for documentation (training provided).
