Principal Mining Finance Consultant

About the role

Based in Brisbane or Perth, the Principal Mining Finance Consultant provides financial and commercial advisory expertise across feasibility studies, lender advisory assignments, due diligence reviews, independent technical reviews, and investment decision processes for mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial, commercial and technical assessments for mining studies, lender advisory engagements and investment evaluations.
• Lead advisory projects ensuring delivery to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, communicating complex information to technical, operational and executive audiences.
• Prepare, review and present reports and recommendations that support financing, investment approval and project development decisions.
• Support business growth through client relationship management, proposal development and identification of new opportunities.
• Mentor consultants and emerging professionals, contributing to technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline with CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent accreditation.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in finance, commercial, management accounting, project controls or cost management within the mining sector.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders from site operations to executive boards, lenders and investors.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
