Assistant Accountant in Construction Finance

About the role
Join a supportive finance team within a growing construction organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with month‑end reporting, reconciliations and a range of accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with month‑end reporting, journals, accruals and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes as required.
- Help prepare financial and management reports, and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist with project and construction‑related accounting requirements and resolve financial queries with internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
- Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
- Experience in construction, property, engineering or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, journals and month‑end processes.
- Excellent time‑management, communication and attention‑to‑detail.
