Principal - Corporate Tax

About the role

OceanaGold is looking for a Principal – Corporate Tax to lead and oversee all corporate tax matters across its operations. Reporting to the Vice President – Tax, the role combines hands‑on tax compliance with strategic advisory in a global mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of Canadian and international corporate tax returns and related filings.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions for current and deferred income tax under IFRS.
• Coordinate transfer pricing analysis, calculations and documentation.
• Support tax planning initiatives, financing structures and cross‑border transactions.
• Monitor legislative changes in Canada and abroad, providing practical recommendations.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and oversee audit or dispute resolution.
• Partner with internal finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and integration into business decisions.
• Coordinate with external advisors and auditors to ensure timely completion of tax matters.

Required profile

• CPA designation with a specialization in Tax (or equivalent).
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive tax experience, including Canadian and international tax.
• Experience in the mining or natural resources sector is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
