Principal BIM Modeller (Fire Protection)

About the role

Join AECOM’s multidisciplinary design services team as a Principal BIM Modeller specialising in fire protection. You will support high‑profile projects across defence, healthcare, aviation, education, commercial and civil infrastructure, delivering data‑rich BIM models from design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all BIM data requirements for fire protection systems throughout design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with BIM technicians, designers and project controls to produce accurate drawings, models and performance reports.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination meetings using ISO 19650 standards.
• Generate and present reports, VR visualisations and workshop outcomes to design managers and clients.

Required profile

• 10+ years of building services modelling experience, preferably in fire protection or MEP.
• Strong communication skills for chairing workshops and producing client‑facing documentation.
• Australian citizenship or defence clearance is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM tools such as Navisworks, Dynamo, Revizto and PowerBI.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM execution standards.
• Experience creating high‑quality, data‑rich fire protection models and documentation.
