Primary School Teacher (Full‑time / Part‑time)

About the role

Merriwa Primary School is building a pool of qualified Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed‑term positions, available full‑time or part‑time, to start during the 2027 school year and continue through Term 3 of 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a growth mindset.
• Deliver engaging literacy and numeracy programmes aligned with research‑based curricula.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Use a range of assessment tools to monitor progress, provide feedback and inform future planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Strong motivation to apply best teaching practices and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within collaborative team structures.
