PR Specialist

About the role

The Corporate Affairs and PR team at Myer Group is looking for a PR Specialist to lead media relations and external communications that amplify the brand’s strategy and ambition across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, draft press releases and secure coverage for campaigns, events and key trade activities.
• Develop story angles, media events and activations to support major moments such as Myer’s Christmas Windows.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify and engage talent suitable for media exposure.
• Negotiate talent participation and manage external agency partnerships.
• Coordinate internal approvals, track deliverables, manage budgets and report on media activity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in PR, influencer and talent management, either in‑house or agency.
• Strong track record of managing media relations and delivering strategic PR initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Highly organised with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
