Portable Service Technician

About the role

Join Chubb's Sydney Portables team as a Portable Service Technician, based in the Rydalmere fire division. You will service a metro region, installing, maintaining and repairing fire protection equipment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain portable fire equipment such as extinguishers, hose reels, blankets and hydrants to Chubb standards.
• Use power tools and a mobile application to plan routes, schedule visits and record work.
• Provide on‑site customer advice and support, contributing to sales growth and market share.

Required profile

• Certificate II in Fire Protection (or willingness to obtain it through in‑house training).
• Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain a construction white card.
• Strong customer‑service mindset, good time‑management and willingness to work away from home when needed.

Required skills

• Use of power tools for installation and repair of fire equipment.
• Operation of Chubb’s mobile scheduling application.
