Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer (Sydney)

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced infrastructure and reliability engineer to join its Australian Corporate Technology team. You will own end‑to‑end workstreams such as CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, or environment‑build automation, ensuring they are designed, implemented, and operated reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions, or environment‑automation workflows.
• Write automation scripts in Python, Bash or Go to eliminate toil and maintain system health.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, and troubleshoot broken environments.
• Work across cloud (AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), operating systems (Linux, Windows) and networking, rotating focus areas roughly every six months.
• Operate in both cloud‑native and classified on‑premises environments, including air‑gapped networks, applying secure‑configuration baselines under ISM/PSPF accreditation.

Required profile

• ~5+ years of experience running infrastructure, cloud operations, or platform environments, especially in defence or regulated settings.
• Proven ability to work independently and own a piece of work through to production.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 security clearance.

Required skills

• Python, Bash or Go scripting.
• Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• AWS cloud services.
• Kubernetes and Docker.
• Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Active Directory, VMware, and networking concepts.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
