Platform (Citrix) Engineer

About the role

Join Auto & General's Technical Services team as a Platform Engineer, focusing on Citrix Cloud DaaS infrastructure and end‑user VMs. You will help ensure platform reliability, stability and security while growing your technical expertise alongside experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support platform performance, stability and security, taking ownership of outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability and efficiency.
• Participate in technical planning and roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployment and maintenance.
• Assist cloud migration activities and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting tools.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technology teams across the business.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards and regulations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, operations or support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with waterfall and/or agile project frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSA or AWS Cloud Practitioner are highly regarded.

• Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, SQL Server, Windows Server, WSUS, Office 365.
• VMware vSphere.
• NetApp Storage.
• Google Workspace.
• SCCM/SOE development.
• Enterprise backup systems (Cohesity, NetBackup or equivalent).
• Windows scripting/automation.
• Enterprise monitoring suites (SolarWinds, New Relic or equivalent).
• Security platforms (CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Okta or equivalent).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform.
• Version control: GitLab.
