Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

TerryWhite Chemmart Gasworks, a busy community pharmacy in the Newstead precinct, is looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join its friendly and supportive team. The role is open to part-time or full-time candidates with a minimum of 25 hours per week, working Tuesday to Friday and alternate Saturdays. Pharmacy assistants are often the first point of contact for customers and help create a welcoming, professional pharmacy experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support retail sales.
• Maintain a high standard of merchandising and store presentation.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations, including housekeeping and stock awareness.
• Use pharmacy systems and computers confidently.
• Manage multiple tasks in a busy and varied environment.
• Communicate well with customers and filter enquiries appropriately.

Required profile

• Previous community pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-focused mindset.
• Enjoys helping customers and supporting colleagues.
• S2S3 certification preferred but not essential; training provided.
• Right to live and work in Australia.
