Pharmacist Registrar – Hospital Pharmacy (2‑Year Training)

About the role

The Pharmacist Registrar position provides high‑quality pharmacy services across multiple units of Children’s Health Queensland. It is a structured, accredited two‑year training program that develops generalist or specialist pharmacy practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pharmacy services on a rotational basis to inpatient, outpatient, hospital‑in‑the‑home, cancer care, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Training Program, completing all mandatory requirements.
• Maintain a practice‑based portfolio demonstrating competency and progression.
• Contribute to medication management, aseptic compounding, poison information, and clinical trial support.
• Develop professional skills in line with the ANZCAP Pharmacist Registrar standards.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with three to seven years of foundation hospital experience.
• Either completed an AdPha Resident Training Program or have at least two years post‑registration hospital pharmacy experience.
• Willingness to commit to a fixed‑term, two‑year training contract.
