Personal Carer

About the role

Southern Cross Care is hiring a Personal Carer for a permanent part-time position in Myrtle Bank, South Australia, working 37.5 hours per fortnight. The role provides proactive, person-centred, safe and effective support tailored to each resident's needs, goals and preferences, promoting their active participation in health and wellbeing.

Shift pattern

• Week 1: Friday 16:00-22:00, Monday 07:00-12:00
• Week 2: Tuesday 07:00-14:00 and 23:00-07:15 (double shift), Thursday 07:00-12:00, Monday 23:00-07:15

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care
• Experience as a Personal Carer and the ability to work without direct supervision
• Good communication skills and ability to manage your time well
• Understanding of how to support residents living with dementia
• Understanding of the Aged Care Standards as they apply to this role
• A Senior First Aid Certificate and an understanding of AN-ACC are desirable
