People & Culture Business Partner – APAC

About the role

CHG-MERIDIAN is expanding across Asia‑Pacific and seeks a People & Culture Business Partner to support Australia, New Zealand and Southeast & East Asia. You will act as a trusted advisor to local leaders, delivering HR operational support and ensuring consistent implementation of global P&C standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance on the employee lifecycle, local policies and employment matters for managers and staff across ANZ and SEEA.
• Coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, probation follow‑up, employee changes and exits in partnership with regional P&C functions.
• Execute administrative tasks such as preparing contracts, maintaining personnel data, managing absences and ensuring audit‑ready documentation.
• Coach managers on leadership, performance, engagement, conflict resolution and DEI initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with local labour law, company policies and global frameworks, escalating complex issues when needed.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as an HR/People & Culture Business Partner or Generalist.
• Strong service orientation with proven ability to translate business needs into practical HR solutions.
• In‑depth knowledge of local labour legislation and confidentiality standards.
• Excellent advisory, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HR information systems, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.
• Proficiency in HR analytics, reporting and data‑driven decision support.
