Patient Food Services Assistant (Kitchen Assistant)

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney is hiring a Kitchen Assistant (Patient Food Services Assistant) for its satellite kitchen in Darlinghurst. This is a permanent part-time position on a 7-day roster, 7:30 am to 1:15 pm, four to five days per week with working days negotiable. Pay is $30.74 plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the distribution and service of patient meals and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation within the satellite kitchen.
• Assist with stock replenishment, storage, labelling and rotation.
• Follow food safety, infection prevention and HACCP procedures.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• Work with the Food Services team to deliver efficient, patient-focused service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food services, hospitality or healthcare is desirable.
• Food Safety or HACCP training is desirable.
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold an Australian visa granting work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.
