Paste Plant Operator

About the role

The Paste Plant Operator is responsible for running and monitoring the paste fill plant to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This FIFO position supports underground mining activities by delivering paste to designated stopes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the paste plant, maintaining optimal performance.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot the paste reticulation system.
• Manage surface activities for the underground reticulation network, including system flushing and remote control of paste diverters.
• Liaise with underground teams to ensure accurate and timely paste delivery.
• Record production data, system pressures, and plant performance for reporting.
• Identify and resolve faults in paste distribution systems to minimise downtime.
• Operate a Komatsu WA 500 Front End Wheel Loader in line with operational requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties as directed by senior staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience in paste plant operations or reticulation systems.
• Valid Front End Loader ticket and C Class manual driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Willingness to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card and recent police clearance.
• Capability to work at heights and in a FIFO environment.
