Part-Time Customer Service & Administration Assistant

About the role

Eurofins Agro Testing, an accredited agricultural testing laboratory based in Hindmarsh, South Australia, is looking for a part-time Customer Service and Administration Assistant. The role sits on the reception desk and suits someone with strong client interaction skills and experience in a customer-facing position. It is a permanent part-time position of 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday, with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Respond proactively and professionally to inbound calls and emails
• Welcome clients and handle enquiries efficiently, with an excellent phone manner
• Log in and batch samples, and report results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Handle general reception duties, filing and document creation for the Quality Management System
• Contact clients, guide them on test suites and sampling materials, and assist with digital technology platforms
• Create invoices and assist the Administration Manager
• Track client interactions in the CRM

Required profile

• High level of proficiency in client interactions and experience in a customer-facing role
• Quick learner, highly organised, able to multi-task, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication, courteous and professional on the phone
• Willingness to learn about laboratory testing
• Eligible to work in Australia/New Zealand with current work rights or an appropriate visa

Required skills

• Extensive experience with Office suite products, especially Outlook, Excel and Word (a must)
• Desirable: general invoicing experience and previous customer service or administrative experience

The admin team works 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with staggered starts; on-the-job training is provided. Applications close 15 November 2026.
