Part-Time Chef - Aged Care Kitchen, Bangalow

About the role

Cater Care is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join its kitchen team at an aged care site in Bangalow, NSW. The role is part-time (30 hours per week) on a Thursday to Sunday roster from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. The chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals for residents and staff in a supportive, professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
• Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen in line with food safety standards
• Prepare texture-modified meals with care and attention to detail

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; aged care experience desirable
• Strong communication, time management and ability to work independently
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for great food
• Current year flu vaccination (or willingness to obtain it)
• Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check before starting
