Paediatric Registered Nurse - Wombat Ward, North West Tasmania

About the role

A permanent, full-time Registered Nurse position on the Wombat Ward, a 16-bed paediatric level 3 inpatient unit at the North West Regional Hospital in Tasmania. The ward cares for general, surgical, orthopaedic and mental health paediatric patients aged 0-17 years. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible UK/IE candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care across a range of patient presentations.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Support patients and their families through their healthcare journey.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior nurses and students.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply nursing principles and practices.
• Current Working with Children Registration (Tasmania).
• Post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing (desirable).

What we offer

• Salary of $78,179 - $105,995 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
