Operations & Service Delivery Lead

About the role

CAE is hiring an Operations & Service Delivery Lead in Homebush, NSW, to lead a small team of Project Controllers and cover project governance and administration, project cost control, business reporting and resource planning. The role reports to the Manager, Integration and Service Delivery and acts as the key link between customers, business stakeholders, project teams, service providers and operational teams. It suits someone who wants to drive operational excellence in a complex Defence and Aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Project Controllers and oversee project governance, scheduling and reporting
• Drive project performance monitoring, forecasting, cost control and portfolio reporting
• Lead workforce planning, resource allocation and capacity management across projects and operations
• Provide project and operational analysis to support business planning and decision-making
• Partner with customers, stakeholders and project teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across project control and operational processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Project Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in operations, service delivery, project controls, project management or business operations
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience in project governance, reporting, planning and performance management
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance
• Ability to work from the Homebush, NSW site; occasional national and international travel may be involved

Preferred qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, APMP or Agile Project Management certification
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Experience with Planisware, MS Project, SAP, Oracle, SharePoint and Power BI
• Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, Engineering or Technology sectors
