Operations Resourcing Lead

About the role

St John WA, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare provider serving Western Australia since 1922, is looking for an Operations Resourcing Lead to join its Patient & Community Transport Services department. This is a permanent full-time position based in Belmont, WA, responsible for leading and overseeing the efficient resourcing and dispatching of personnel within the transport team, working with transport operations, sales, the call centre and Resource Planning.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the resourcing team to ensure efficient rostering of Patient and Community Transport Services personnel.
• Manage overtime and shift extensions so that usage stays within budgeted expenses.
• Dispatch resources effectively to meet workload and demand.
• Manage fatigue among on-road personnel by providing enough resourcing to reduce shift extensions and unreasonable overtime.
• Work with Resource Planning to fill vacancies in a timely and cost-effective way.
• Oversee rostering and advise on potential recruitment needs.
• Support a high standard of customer service for on-road staff and build a positive culture.
• Escalate reported issues to the Operations Leads and General Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience in administration, including resource oversight and scheduling.
• Understanding of health transport operations and resourcing.
• Background in corporate, health, community or commercial sectors.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the systems, tools and processes used in this position.
