OOSH Relief Assistant – Flexible Out of School Hours Care

About the role

Join our Out‑of‑School‑Hours (OOSH) team in Southern Sydney, supporting children before and after school across Belmore, Georges Hall and Bankstown. This part‑time relief position offers flexible shifts, competitive hourly pay and the chance to create memorable learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering science experiments, sports tournaments, educational activities and creative arts that engage children.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks to keep energy levels high.
• Communicate with parents, staff and community partners to build integrated OOSH programs.
• Cover 2‑3 shifts per week in before‑school and after‑school care.

Required profile

• Certificate III (or higher) in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, School‑Aged Care or related field (studying towards qualification is acceptable).
• Warm, engaging personality with a "can‑do" attitude.
• Valid Working With Children Check.
• Child Protection Training Certificate.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management certifications.
