OOSH Nominated Supervisor / Educational Leader

About the role

St Nicholas is seeking a passionate and energetic OOSH Nominated Supervisor / Educational Leader to join its well-established service in Chisholm. You will oversee the operations of the service and lead, guide and support a team providing high-quality education and care to school-aged children. The position is permanent and part-time, with split or block shifts of about 35 hours per week across before and after school programs and vacation care for children aged 5 to 12.

Vacation care runs Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 6.30pm (about 8 hours per day), and availability for most of these shifts is expected.

Required profile

• Diploma in Children's Services or Certificate III in Children's Services (minimum 3 years' experience) as identified by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority
• Working with Children Check verification number
• Current First Aid certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training, and a child protection qualification
• Willingness to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and the National Regulations

Required skills

• Administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training
• Understanding of WHS legislation
• Knowledge of the CCS (childcare subsidy system) requirements and ability to use the compliance software
• Budget management experience for an Early Education or OOSH centre
• Ability to support the My Time Our Place framework for school-aged children
