Office & Facilities Manager

About the role

Australian Ethical is seeking an Office & Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of its Sydney headquarters while supporting its Melbourne and Brisbane sites. You will work closely with People & Culture and senior leadership to create a practical, engaging and values‑driven workplace experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Sydney office and coordinate practical requirements for Melbourne.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all workplace enquiries, resolving facilities issues promptly.
  • Manage office supplies, kitchen stock, equipment, mail, couriers and meeting‑room set‑up.
  • Organise catering and logistics for company events, Thursday socials, town halls and end‑of‑year celebrations.
  • Partner with Executive Assistants and People & Culture to support Executive Leadership Team and Board meeting needs.
  • Support WHS, emergency preparedness, building management and security, including fire‑warden and first‑aider duties.
  • Administer vendor relationships, service agreements, office budgets, purchasing and expense reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update the office operating guide with current processes and contacts.
  • Lead workplace improvement projects that enhance functionality and employee experience.
  • Champion sustainability, inclusion and B Corp initiatives across the office environment.

Required profile

  • Proactive, organised and service‑oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities across facilities, events, vendors and budgets.
  • Warm, friendly and engaging approach, especially when welcoming new starters.
  • Experience in office and facilities management, including vendor and WHS coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
