Offensive Security Engineer (Red / Purple Team)

About the role

Join TCS Australia as an Offensive Security Engineer, focusing on red and purple team engagements to protect critical applications, infrastructure and controls across Brisbane and Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Run red and purple team engagements against critical assets and validate detection, logging and control gaps.
• Build, maintain and mature breach & attack simulation (BAS) platforms, leveraging AI for attack‑path analysis.
• Propose remediation, new detections and log sources, driving findings into the engineering backlog.
• Act as the validation arm of threat‑informed defence using ATT&CK mapping.

Required profile

• Hands‑on offensive experience: adversary emulation, C2, exploitation, attack‑path analysis across cloud, infrastructure and endpoints.
• Strong detection and logging fluency (purple team) and familiarity with BAS and ATT&CK frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and automation with disciplined rules‑of‑engagement.
