Ocean Freight Supervisor – Perth

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Ocean Freight Supervisor for its Perth Station. You will lead a team of Ocean Freight Specialists, ensuring efficient execution of import and export ocean freight operations while maintaining compliance with DHL standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Ocean Freight Specialists, driving productivity, efficiency and gross profit performance.
• Ensure operational activities follow DHL Global Forwarding SOPs and service commitments.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Act as first escalation point for customer, supplier and operational issues.
• Build strong customer relationships to support retention and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Product, Warehouse and Transport teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in international freight forwarding, preferably ocean freight.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of import and/or export operations.
• Excellent customer relationship management and commercial awareness.
• Problem‑solving, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
• Full right to work in Australia.
