Job description
About the role
King Living designs and manufactures its own furniture and sells it through showrooms in nine countries. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will own the forecast for a specific product category, lead the demand planning meeting within the S&OP cycle and drive key performance indicators such as DIFOT, inventory and forecast accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a valid volume and gross‑sales forecast, consolidate S&OP inputs and challenge commercial assumptions with trend analysis.
- Lead the Demand Planning Meeting for assigned categories and coordinate with global factories and third‑party suppliers to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery.
- Own and deliver DIFOT, inventory reduction and forecast‑accuracy targets, including SLOB identification and slow‑moving stock management.
- Plan at the appropriate product‑hierarchy level and contribute to the development of planning systems used across the global network.
- Support new product development and EPD projects to embed supply readiness and lead‑time accuracy from launch.
- Identify repeatable tasks and automate them using Power Query, SQL, Python or other tools to free up analyst time.
Required profile
- 5‑7 years of demand and supply planning experience, preferably in retail, furniture or a similarly complex multi‑site global environment.
- Proven ability to lead S&OP processes, influence cross‑functional meetings and work with vertically integrated, multi‑site manufacturing and import supply chains.
- Strong analytical rigour with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and Power BI (including DAX) for data analysis and reporting.
- Power Query and SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP and demand‑planning systems such as SAP, Dynamics 365 or Netstock.
- Python or similar programming language for data automation (desirable).
What we offer
- Opportunity to shape the forecast for a globally recognised Australian design brand.
- Direct impact on key KPIs (DIFOT, inventory, forecast accuracy) with real‑time decision making.
- Access to AI tools and automation projects to improve supply‑chain efficiency.
- Clear career pathways to Demand & Supply Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager or Head of Supply Chain.
- On‑site parking with EV charging, complimentary coffee and employee discounts on premium furniture.
