NV1 and NV2 Communications, Social Media and Media Officer

About the role

A Canberra-based recruitment firm is recruiting, on behalf of a large federal government department, for three positions covering Communications, Social Media and Media at APS and EL levels. The work is open to permanent APS employees looking for their next career move, as well as non-APS candidates seeking a labour-hire contract.

Key responsibilities

• Communications Specialist: develop and implement communications and engagement strategies; support policy and program areas with strategic advice and promotional collateral; engage internal and external stakeholders; write newsletters, articles and content for the internet and intranet.
• Social Media Specialist: create and publish social media content; manage channels, scheduling and community engagement; monitor trends, analytics and audience insights; collaborate with communications and media teams.
• Media Specialist: draft media releases, talking points and responses; monitor media coverage and emerging issues; respond to media enquiries and coordinate interviews; work with communications and policy teams.

Required profile

• Experience and qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations and/or relevant experience in communications, social media and/or media.
• Canberra-based.
• Active NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
• Available for labour-hire and permanent transfer for APS employees.
