Deputy Manager, Outreach and Communications

About the role

The Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs at the Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a Deputy Manager, Outreach and Communications to lead strategic marketing, communications and outreach initiatives that enhance the School's profile, reputation and engagement. Reporting to the School Manager and working closely with the Director, academic leaders, professional staff and the College Marketing and Communications team, the role provides strategic advice and operational leadership across communications, digital platforms, events and public engagement. It is a full-time, fixed-term position (up to 2 years) based on the ANU campus in Canberra.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies that showcase the School's research, education and policy contributions
• Manage the School's online presence
• Evaluate engagement outcomes
• Lead the delivery of outreach activities such as lectures, seminars and workshops

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications and experience in strategic communications, marketing, outreach, digital engagement or a related field, preferably in a tertiary or complex organisational environment
• Demonstrated experience developing communications strategies, managing digital platforms, measuring engagement outcomes and creating compelling content
• Rights to live and work in Australia; mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks apply
