Engagement Manager, Environmental Sustainability

About the role

The Engagement Manager, Environmental Sustainability plays a key role in delivering the ANU Environmental Sustainability Plan 2026-30, which focuses on climate action, nature conservation and the circular economy. The role brings together strategic communications, community engagement, outreach activities and collaboration with academic and professional staff and students, and supports student projects and internships that link teaching and research with sustainable practices.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and implement communications, outreach and engagement approaches
• Bring expertise in community engagement and communications to the University
• Link academic expertise with operational practice, including through student projects and internships
• Engage academic and professional staff and students so that sustainable choices become part of everyday work

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in communications, community engagement or related fields
• Experience in environmental sustainability is highly regarded
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills

What we offer

• Salary package of $124,392 - $133,017 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation
• Continuing appointment, full-time or part-time at 0.8 FTE
