Nurse Team Leader - RN

About the role

Golden Beach Medical Centre, an established primary healthcare clinic in Caloundra, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead its nursing team. The role oversees a team of nurses while supporting clinical operations, governance and patient outcomes, with a Monday to Friday schedule and no night shifts, weekends or rotating rosters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of nurses
• Manage day-to-day nursing operations in a busy GP clinic
• Support workforce planning, rostering and team development
• Oversee Chronic Disease Management programs and care plans
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical efficiencies
• Ensure accreditation standards and clinical governance requirements are met
• Manage infection control, risk management and patient safety activities
• Support a collaborative, patient-focused team culture

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in a senior nursing, leadership or coordination role
• Experience leading teams in a busy clinical environment
• Experience within General Practice or Primary Healthcare highly regarded
• Current CPR certification and COVID-19 vaccination status in line with healthcare requirements

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Chronic Disease Management and primary healthcare
• Understanding of clinical governance, compliance and quality standards
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach
