Casual Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse

About the role

A friendly and supportive team of two practices in Caloundra is seeking an experienced and compassionate casual Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse. The role offers a stable position with predictable weekday hours, Monday to Friday rostering (no weekends), and the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients. Pay is competitive at $37-$45 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general practice nursing alongside doctors, nurses and administration staff
• Immunisations including childhood, travel, employment and COVID vaccinations
• Patient triage and clinical assessments
• Wound management and dressing changes
• Infection prevention and control, sterilisation processes and cold chain management
• General treatment room nursing duties
• Assist with employment and aviation medical assessments
• Support chronic disease management activities and health assessments

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN
• Current CPR certification and current COVID-19 vaccination status in line with healthcare requirements
• Experience in a clinical nursing environment
• Full Australian working rights
• Excellent communication and patient care skills, strong organisation and multitasking abilities

Required skills

• Highly regarded: previous general practice nursing experience
• Highly regarded: experience with immunisations and treatment room procedures
• Highly regarded: exposure to chronic disease management and health assessments
• Highly regarded: experience using Best Practice software
