Nurse Educator – Education Coordinator

About the role

Lead education across two private hospitals in Sydney, shaping clinical excellence and patient safety. This full‑time position offers a high‑visibility leadership role within the clinical education team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse workforce and service needs to design and deliver responsive education programs.
• Monitor compliance with mandatory competencies, coordinate assessments and produce education reports.
• Undertake competency assessments aligned with NSQHS Standards and scope of practice.
• Collaborate with managers, executives and staff to identify emergent education needs.
• Support student and graduate learning experiences and contribute to onboarding and upskilling of staff.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and at least 5 years acute clinical experience.
• Experience in education, competency assessment, preceptorship and mentoring.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to best practice, safety and continuous improvement.
• Qualification in education or training (or willingness to work towards).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Confidence using Learning Management Systems for compliance monitoring and reporting.
