Night Shift Heavy Vehicle Technician

About the role

Join Scania's Prestons team on the night shift to perform quality diagnostics, rebuilds, service and repairs on Scania heavy vehicles. This role offers exposure to leading‑edge technology and the opportunity to work on Australia’s only V8 truck.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct state‑of‑the‑art mechanical diagnosis using iPads and latest diagnostic equipment.
• Perform rebuilds, servicing and repairs on heavy vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to Scania’s safety culture.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technology.
• Proven experience as a heavy‑vehicle technician.
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of valid work rights.
• Commitment to quality, safety and customer focus.

Required skills

• HV Diesel Technician qualification.
• Mechanical diagnosis of heavy vehicles.
• Vehicle rebuild, service and repair techniques.
• Use of diagnostic equipment and iPad‑based tools.
