Night Auditor - Full-Time or Part-Time

About the role

Novotel Devonport is looking for a Night Auditor to join its overnight operations, either full-time or part-time. You will create a warm, personalised experience for guests, ensure accurate night audit procedures and a smooth handover to the morning team, and help maintain the safety and security of the hotel and its guests and staff in the absence of management.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome late arrivals and say farewell to early departures
• Keep the hotel's overnight operation running smoothly and safely
• Carry out the daily reconciliation of the hotel's trading, check and prepare reports, complete audits and collect paperwork for departures
• Distribute reports to the relevant departments
• Manage and confirm reservation details and guest accounts, and record them accurately
• Check guests in and out and provide efficient registration and departure service
• Attend to guests' requests promptly

Required profile

• Enjoys working with a team and is a hands-on team player with a can-do attitude
• Good understanding of finance and accounting practices
• Ability to coordinate several tasks while keeping attention to detail
• Willingness to work 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays
• Full Tasmanian driver's licence

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously
• Ability to establish rapport and take initiative
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud is a bonus
• A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
