Support Worker - Catering

About the role

Calvary Health Care is recruiting a Support Worker - Catering for its Scottvale facility in Dandenong, Victoria. You will report to the Home Manager and support the Chef/Chef Manager and their team in delivering a high-quality catering service to residents. The role involves preparing meals and beverages that meet each resident's individual needs, including special dietary requirements, allergies and cultural preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet each resident's needs, including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific options
• Maintain environmental service standards and keep the residents' living environment clean and safe
• Follow the National Food Safety Program, complete food safety records and prevent cross-contamination
• Serve nutritious meals in a well-presented manner at the right temperature
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal service according to the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide

Required profile

• Current Food Handlers Certificate
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High standards in food preparation
• Knowledge of food safety regulations
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others
