National Sales Manager

About the role

ALBA Cheese is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead sales and trade marketing across Australia and support export growth. Based at the Tullamarine site, the role involves strategic development, team leadership and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Set, develop and own the national sales strategy, budget and forecasts.
• Lead expansion into new and under‑penetrated markets and support export growth.
• Win new business across foodservice, route, retail and wholesale channels.
• Build and strengthen key customer, supplier and industry relationships.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, contracts, promotions and terms.
• Coach and develop the field sales and customer service teams.
• Represent ALBA at trade shows and industry events.
• Report sales performance, pipeline and market insights to the Executive Team.

Required profile

• At least 5 years’ sales management experience leading field sales and customer service staff.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Australian FMCG food and beverage channels.
• Proven track record of opening new markets or territories and winning new business.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting and budgeting.
• Natural leader, coach and mentor with a confident, optimistic, hands‑on style.
• FMCG dairy and/or export experience is highly regarded.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to travel within Victoria, interstate and occasionally internationally.
• Full Australian working rights.
