National Construction Manager, Transmission

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a National Construction Manager for Transmission to lead the coordination and delivery of transmission line projects across Australia. You will oversee engineering, procurement, scheduling and construction activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution from mobilisation to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with TNSP standards (AusNet, Powerlink, Transgrid) and ISO/WHS requirements.
• Manage non‑conformances, incidents and defect close‑out processes.
• Oversee HV safety training, competency assessments and site inductions.
• Coordinate timely and accurate IFC drawings, constructability reviews and design changes.
• Lead audits, inspections, environmental compliance and corridor engagement.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with landholders, authorities and regulators.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or Transmission Lineperson trade.
• 15+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role on transmission projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑site, national programmes and deliver on safety, quality, time and profitability targets.
