About the role
The Australian Government is inviting applications for the senior leadership positions of National Anti‑Corruption Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner within the National Anti‑Corruption Commission (NACC). These roles lead an independent integrity agency tasked with investigating serious or systemic corruption across the Commonwealth public sector.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the NACC’s investigations and reporting functions.
- Exercise and manage a broad range of statutory powers, including coercive powers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including other integrity agencies, Parliament, and the public.
- Promote public confidence in the integrity of the Commonwealth public sector.
- Lead efforts to develop and implement corruption‑prevention standards and policies.
Required profile
- Retired judge of a federal, state or territory court, or a legal practitioner with at least five years of enrolment.
- Demonstrated record of senior leadership and achievement in the legal or public‑sector arena.
- Strong commitment to integrity, transparency, and public service.
