Mid Market Account Executive

About the role

Block is looking for a Mid Market Account Executive to drive growth of its Square ecosystem among mid‑market merchants. You will own the full outbound sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and deliver multi‑product solutions that meet each merchant’s unique needs.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end outbound sales process, including prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline through cold outreach, social selling and targeted campaigns.
• Design multi‑product solutions across Square’s ecosystem and tailor them to merchant requirements.
• Partner with Business Development to secure net‑new logos while independently driving acquisition.
• Conduct discovery calls, product demos and negotiations with multi‑stakeholder decision makers.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Implementation and Operations to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce.
• Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Required profile

• 6+ years of full‑cycle B2B sales experience with a track record of quota achievement.
• Proven success in outbound prospecting and net‑new business creation, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
• Experience closing complex, multi‑threaded deals with longer sales cycles.
• Strong consultative selling ability to diagnose business challenges and map tailored solutions.
• Hunter mindset—resilient, creative and driven to win.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce.
