Medical Science Liaison – Rare Diseases

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will provide non‑promotional scientific and research support for Sobi’s rare disease portfolio across immunology, nephrology and haematology. Working field‑based, the MSL will build relationships with leading opinion leaders and drive the local medical plan in line with regulations and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate in‑depth scientific knowledge of rare disorders such as PNH, C3 Glomerulopathy, DLBCL, ITP, primary HLH, CAPS and myelofibrosis.
• Conduct territory‑specific disease, pathway and expert mapping; spend >75% of time on HCP interactions and in‑field activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders, academic investigators and medical societies.
• Deliver peer‑level presentations, in‑services and group meetings to healthcare professionals.
• Gather and relay clinical and research insights from KOLs to inform Sobi’s R&D and business strategies.
• Respond to unsolicited on‑ and off‑label medical information requests, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Support investigator‑sponsored studies and project work related to registration and reimbursement pathways.
• Maintain accurate compliance and safety reporting and share best practices with medical colleagues across affiliates.

Required profile

• Advanced qualification in medical science, clinical medicine or pharmacy.
