Medical Receptionist

About the role

Lumus Imaging is recruiting a Medical Receptionist in Belconnen, Canberra, as the first point of contact for its patients. The role sets the tone for every visit and works alongside experienced radiographers, sonographers and support staff. It is a permanent full-time position within one of Australia's leading diagnostic imaging providers.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and manage arrivals warmly and efficiently
• Schedule and confirm appointments across multiple imaging modalities
• Process Medicare, DVA and private billing accurately
• Handle phone and email enquiries from patients and referrers
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth clinic flow
• Work closely with clinical staff to keep the day running seamlessly

Required profile

• Previous experience in reception or customer service; medical or radiology experience is a bonus but not essential
• A warm, calm and professional manner, especially with anxious or unwell patients
• Strong attention to detail and confidence with computer systems
• Great communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude
