Medical Receptionist

About the role

We are launching a new specialist centre in Marrickville and need a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and families. You will support a team of paediatric and adult gastroenterologists, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage a busy reception desk.
• Answer and triage incoming phone calls.
• Book and coordinate appointments across multiple clinicians.
• Process payments and basic billing, including Medicare and private billing.
• Maintain smooth workflow for specialists and their patients.
• Provide general administrative support as the centre becomes operational.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a medical or allied‑health reception role, preferably in a specialist practice.
• Comfortable using practice management software; we use Clinic to Cloud.
• Calm under pressure, well‑presented and friendly.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with billing and patient records.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.

What we offer
