About the role

This full‑time Medical Officer position is based at ANZAC House and focuses on pre‑employment occupational health assessments for Australian Defence Force (ADF) candidates. The role offers a structured pathway into occupational health for doctors seeking a balanced clinic schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment medical assessments for ADF recruitment candidates.
• Evaluate occupational suitability and provide fitness‑for‑duty opinions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and screening staff.
• Document assessments in line with clinical governance and occupational health standards.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship.
• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with current AHPRA general registration.
• Minimum five years post‑graduate clinical experience.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate, Working with Children Check and baseline security clearance.
• Current CPR certification.
