Medical Officer – Clinical Trials

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Medical Officer to provide medical oversight for clinical trials in Sydney. The role involves ensuring participant safety, compliance with protocols and regulatory standards, and supporting study execution from screening to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Principal Investigator or Co‑Investigator on clinical studies.
• Conduct participant screening, medical assessments and eligibility reviews.
• Manage and monitor adverse events and overall participant safety.
• Obtain and document informed consent in accordance with GCP standards.
• Provide ongoing medical support throughout trial participation.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational and quality teams.
• Contribute to protocol reviews, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Medical Practitioner with full AHPRA registration.
• Recent hands‑on clinical practice experience.
• Strong understanding of GCP and clinical research principles (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with a patient‑focused approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
